American University will hold the 2021 Institute for Data Science and Big Data online, which is geared to working professionals looking to upgrade their data science skills. NHLBI BioData Catalyst Fellows Program Call for Prooposals | Submission deadline: Dec. 4

The NHLBI BioData Catalyst Fellows Program provides early-career researchers the opportunity to receive funding to help support research on novel and innovative data science and data-focused research problems. The program is open to academic disciplines conducting biomedical research in heart, lung, blood, and sleep domains. USAID's Intelligent Forecasting Challenge 

The USAID seeks to identify and test more accurate methods of predicting future contraceptive use at health service delivery sites. Their team will award $25K in prizes to innovators who develop an intelligent forecasting model—using the data it provides and methods such as artificial intelligence (AI)—to predict the consumption of contraceptives over three months. The team will also award a Field Implementation Grant of approximately $100K to $200K to customize and test a high-performing intelligent forecasting model in Côte d’Ivoire. The South Big Data Innovation Hub Seed Grant program is designed to promote collaboration and support the cross-pollination of tools, data, and ideas across disciplines and sectors including academia, industry, government, and communities. Seed grant awards must support the southern region and the Major Goals and Priority Areas of the South Hub. Applications for small grants (up to $10,000) will be accepted and awarded on a rolling basis until September 1. Applications for mid-size or group activities grants (up to $50,000) and large or multi-institutional grants (up to $100,000) will be accepted until September 1. Awards will be announced soon after. CSTE Public Health and Healthcare Analytics Webinar 

The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists will host a webinar presentation from Chandni Jaggi, MPH, and Elizabeth Pembleton, MPH, on "Using AIDSVu to Visualize HIV Data and Service Providers." AIDSVu is a free, online, interactive website that maps the HIV epidemic across the United States.
