How to hire data scientists when it seems like there are none to hire
Most companies and organizations recognize that data is a critical asset. Yet extracting actionable information from big data requires highly specialized skills. This year 4-5 million jobs will require data analysis skills. IBM predicts the demand for data scientists will rise 28% by 2020. How can organizations recruit and retain top talent in data science? Even though demand for data scientists may exceed supply, how might we build and sustain a diverse, equitable and inclusive data-driven organization? Many organizations and leaders don't try out of fear of failure and a lack of clarity on where to begin. What do we tackle first?
